Added 05/03/2013

PCB manufacturer, Invotec Group (www.invotecgroup.com), is pleased to announce it has achieved the SC21 Bronze Award at its Tamworth facility. Established in 2001, Invotec Group is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of time critical, high technology printed circuit boards.

Managed by ADS, Supply Chains for the 21st Century (SC21) is an improvement programme designed to increase the performance of suppliers and ultimately their supply chains within the UK aerospace, security, space and defence industries. It has an industry commitment to focus on delivering a globally competitive UK supply chain within the Aerospace, Defence, Security and Space sectors.

To attain the Bronze standard, Invotec Group had to achieve delivery and quality performance standards for all of its key customers over a rolling 12 month period. Invotec Group was sponsored throughout the process by Aero Engine Controls (www.aeroenginecontrols.com), part of the Rolls –Royce Group.

Invotec Group’s SC21 Programme was orchestrated by the Company’s Operations Manager, Mr Chris Haley who commented: “This award is a clear example of Invotec Group’s ongoing commitment to its customers and the aerospace and defence market as a whole. It is an acknowledgement of the professionalism and skill that Invotec Group applies to all elements of its business. As a result of SC21 we have a much clearer understanding of our business process, refining the internal metrics and providing the necessary tools to achieve the right standards.”

Tim Tatton, Managing Director of Invotec Group added: “The SC21 Bronze Award demonstrates to our customers that we can deliver to an exceptional standard on a regular basis, recognising Invotec Group’s own commitment to offering its customers the best quality, service and delivery. Invotec Group already had in place a formal continuous improvement culture continually reviewing its business practices against an internationally recognised framework of Business Excellence (EFQM) and Manufacturing Excellence and SC21 has taken this to the next level.”

The SC21 Bronze Award will be formally presented to Invotec Group at the official SC21 Task Force event held on the 9th April 2013 in Bristol. Mr Chris Haley will collect the Award on behalf of Invotec Group. Invotec Group continues to excel in the defence and aerospace markets where reliability, quality, consistency and budgetary considerations are paramount.
