Added 13/11/2018

Amphenol Invotec, a leading European manufacturer of advanced PCBs, is pleased to announce that it has successfully extended its European Space Agency (ESA) qualification for the supply of sequential rigid polyimide boards to November 2020. This renewed qualification complements its existing approval to supply sequential rigid-flex polyimide boards.

An ESA-approved supplier since 2014, Amphenol Invotec has more than 15 years’ experience of supporting the international space sector with a global customer base of over fifty space companies. Its printed circuit boards form an integral part of communications, exploration and meteorological satellites as well as their launchers and ground systems.

Howard Swarbrick, ESA & Space Sales Manager at Amphenol Invotec, commented:

This renewed confirmation from ESA reaffirms our status as one of the leading PCB interconnect solution providers for the next generation of space programmes. Our ability to offer a comprehensive range of PCB technologies, supported by a wealth of design-for-manufacture expertise, is underpinned by a detailed working knowledge of space industry standards.”

The European Space Agency is an intergovernmental organisation of 22 member states dedicated to the exploration of space. Established in 1975 and headquartered in Paris, ESA has a worldwide staff of some 2000 and an annual budget of more than €5 billion.
