Invotec Group, Europe’s leading manufacturer of PCBs for critical applications, received its SC21 Silver award at a presentation ceremony held at Farnborough International Airshow on 17th July. The award was accepted by Invotec’s Managing Director, Tim Tatton, and Engineering & Technology Manager, Chris Haley.

Run by trade organisation ADS, SC21 (Supply Chains for the 21st Century) is a change programme designed to develop the competitiveness of the UK’s aerospace and defence industry by raising the ongoing performance of its supply chains.

Sponsored through its involvement in the programme by Controls and Data Services (CDS), part of the Rolls-Royce Group, Invotec was awarded SC21 Bronze status last year having met strict delivery and quality performance standards for all of its key customers over a rolling 12 month period.

Making the progression from Bronze to Silver requires demonstrable improvements to customer delivery and quality performance as well as Business Excellence and Manufacturing Excellence elements.

Tim Tatton commented:

“Achieving the Silver Award represents a significant step forward for our business and really reflects the outstanding dedication shown right across the company to embedding a culture of excellence in everything we do. We will not rest on our laurels; the SC21 journey will continue to challenge everyone in our organisation. It’s a significant ongoing commitment but the results of improved KPIs and customer satisfaction is certainly worth the effort.”
