The roll-out of a series of Lean Six Sigma projects marks the start of a new phase in our continuous improvement programme. The 13 projects underway at both Tamworth and Telford are at different stages of their lifecycle but all share a key focus on increased productivity and scrap reduction.
The initial emphasis has been on staff training, enabling the company’s current Lean Six Sigma Green Belts to enhance their techniques and become better problem solvers down to ‘root cause’ level. Establishing this core of expertise is a critical step in maximising staff engagement in our drive to develop a much stronger capability to deal with both new and legacy issues.
